[googling "what is the density of meat per cubic meter"] oh, almost exactly 1,000kg/m^3. weird. wait, no, that's the opposite of weird, i should've guessed that from the start

a while back i was looking for a solid basis from which to abstract a size comparison system for my RGP ruleset and was deep in the math and researching things like the mass and silhouette of elephants
i noticed a weird pattern that the broad-side silhouette was extremely consistent in proportion to the mass for living creatures in particular and i thought i had to be doing something wrong that i kept getting these same numbers
nope!
turns out there are only so many ways that a living organism can arrange itself
this is fantastic for me because it means the silhouette system is only of interest in those weird "cube of paper" vs "cube of lead" situations
I... also did that exact search this week. Mostly because my friends and I were curious if my lifeless body COULD be stuffed into my brand new oversized cooler that didn't fit in a sedan trunk. It could not, but some of my friends on the camping trip could have!
