[MAY CONTAIN MATURE THEMES]

Heyhey. I draw weird girls, spooky monsters, and weird spooky girl monsters. 25+, ES/EN, Boricua, colonized gal surviving in the imperial core

Just finished Dicey Dungeons. What a delightful roguelite that makes every part of its progression actually exciting to go through! There is maybe one challenge in the entire game that felt like a bit of a slog going in, and by the end it turned out to be a fun mode anyway.

The final boss is such a fun evaluation of your understanding of the game, too.

Its systems are based on a really easy to understand form of randomness, and it plays with how to manipulate that randomness in really clever ways. I'm a big fan of how different 'elements' are handled (i.e. fire abilities aren't inherently "weak" to cold, but the bulk of fire abilities need big dice totals to function, and cold spells and the freeze status are all about forcing low rolls.) Stuff like that is astonishingly elegant? I dig it!
