something weirdly sobering to think about--
- i graduated college in may 2014, and promptly did not write much music again for years after (fighting with writer's block i did slowly make an album with a friend, that was it)
- i returned to making music in earnest in october 2018
- it is now end of april 2023
this means that in the time since i left college, i have recently just tipped over the scale from "more time spent devoted to music" compared to "not". i've spent more time doing music again, than the amount of time i withdrew from it. (music school years notwithstanding lol, they were un-prolific for their own reasons) that's so crazy??? considering what a long period of time it felt like where i didn't do music. like, years of my life spent doing other things. time accelerates as you get older, i suppose... but what a profound feeling this gives me
