#7 - best places to cry in public
the first thing that came to mind for this one was that i remember one time in like, early college, i was having a Real Bad Time and went for a long evening walk around campus to clear my head. at some point i sat down on a bench for a while and cried and i remember a total stranger noticing and stopping to ask me if i was alright. he sat down and listened to me for a few minutes and then went on - never got his name, never saw him again, but he did me a kindness and i really appreciated that gesture. he did not have to do that, and certainly not everyone would've. thanks, person! i guess that makes a random bench on a college campus an OK place to cry in public, all things considered.
