(david lynch voice) good morning! it's november 30, two thousand twenty-two, and it's a wednesday! today i was thinking about.. posting my one (1) tracker or DAW video per day with some commentary on the cohost(tm) website. What will today's song be?

<-- the previous day's song | the next day's song -->

today's song is: Elemental Harmony, made in LSDJ on the Gameboy

oh snap, title drop! this was the title track for my EP Elemental Harmony and the last one to be written, too. it's a really lively and adventurous capstone to the project that, i think, encapsulates the whimsical nature of the playful spirits depicted throughout. it starts with a cute waltzy tune that was a months-long earworm waiting to be written, but it then jumps all around to other meters and tempos that twist and contort the melody. leaps abound! it was great fun to tend to this little garden.

this was my second tune in LSDJ, with the first being the previously-posted Oreads & Nereids (The Shapers). and really, there's only one other full tune (to be posted at some point) and two really fun collabs that i've done on the system. i hope lots more Gameboy music is in my future - LSDJ is extraordinarily fun, but because of how determined i always am to fill space and shape sounds, it takes me a long time to write something. my songs have been like two minutes long each with 20 hours put into them, lol... and i have to take breaks from looking at my blue-backlit little DMG screen.

this concludes the string of uploads from this EP! there's some more stuff coming up that's grouped in some way, but i dunno if i will always group things. does anyone have a preference? i like the organization, but wonder if the element of surprise in randomness would be more interesting as i continue to post daily. well, we'll see - i've got a bunch of cool stuff queued up already : ) thanks for reading/listening!
