here's this nearly four minute match against one of my RIVALS... the person who beat me at both magfest tourneys (and invited me to the panel.exe zone in the first place). i think i ended the set like, 7 and 16? or something? which is sick because i used to not even be able to get a game
most of my plays aren't super special in this game (a cool sneaky insert at 2:50 though), but i'm proud of the consistency - defending on lv10 is insane, so games lasting more than a couple minutes are rare and exciting as i develop better defense. this person's defense is also very impressive. no risks but fierce counterattacks. i was playing a little fast and frantic, haha.
i'm starting to learn new TECH too. one cool way to both defend and attack is to set up chains on the "second tier" if there is one - like when there's panels available above a line of garbage, moving them around so when the garbage does clear, the falling panels make a chain somewhere. trying to get more used to seeing and prepping those. getting better at frame-perfect midair swaps (this is called a "catch") too, where you catch a panel in midair to create a chain. and "stealths" where you press both swap buttons in quick succession to sneak a panel through what would be a match. cool time-saving mechanic. i even did one under duress today! it saved my ass!
