i did an advent calendar's worth of songs again this December! now they are compiled into this little album of mostly chipped tunes. each of these songs was written within one day, with a different prompt and a different format (software to use/targeted chip) every day. i hope you will enjoy them! merry Christmas!!!

you can listen or acquire it on Bandcamp (edit: wow, this embed is enormous, Soundcloud link is below this):

and you can also listen to it on Soundcloud:

it's advent calendar time on botb! (starting in two hours from this post)

this is my favorite event of the year! i've participated the last two years, and in particular last year i did something for all 24 days. there's a prompt and a specific format every day (like what system/chip/software to write for, or other such restriction) and you have only that day to make a song in that format (or occasionally other piece of art like pixel art). then it's gone! it's quick, but comparably lax versus the classic One Hour Battle.

i learned a lot both of the last two years, so i'm really excited to see what happens this month! it's a great time, especially when a less common format comes up and everyone is collectively learning in realtime trying to decipher what to do and how to approach it. truly feels like a community coming together

here's the playlist of all the music i made last year!

woohoo!
