✨ Fanfic Things: you ever go looking for content for something you really like and have to go 'well, not reading any of that' after the author inexplicably goes off on some absurd bad-faith tangent about 'despising' a character who... they could just... not bring up at all? Like, don't get me wrong, I love fanfic, but there is a certain stripe of shipficcer who just cannot seem to be normal about this. Like, it's fine! Honest! Just don't write characters you don't like! We don't gotta suddenly have Bill the Friendly Caterpillar or whoever suddenly sprout a waxed mustache and whip out a death ray to justify why you'd rather write a different pairing.
