A friend of mine sent me a link to a "luxury dog bed" on wayfair (basically a small overstuffed leather couch), entirely in the spirit of "haha, look at this ridiculous vanity object that the dog probably doesn't even like compared to a smelly blanket, eat the rich amiright?" and I then proceeded to get banner ads for impractically fancy dog beds for a week on all the webcomics I read whose pages I've whitelisted in my adblocker.

I choose to imagine that this is the final desperate gamble by a man sitting in a warehouse full of unsold luxury dog beds, as he says to himself, "I've made a huge mistake."

This reminds of when I was first transitioning and searched up a lot of ftm resources, which must've confused the Machine because I kept getting ads for baby toys, cribs and stuff. Turns out many people searching the term ftm mean "first time mom" which is about as far away from what I was becoming as possible
