The concept of this arcade conversion is simple: Destroy all the skyscrapers while avoiding the attacks from the military, and gobble up whoever gets in the way. We've already seen Rampage here, but that was the Euro version (1987) and this is the US one (1989). These are two entirely different conversions, even though both were published by Activision. They each have their own strengths and weaknesses, but the US one is often considered superior. It does have one major issue, though, and that is the fact that if you're playing in one-player mode, your chosen monster has to do all the rampaging by itself. Whereas in the arcade original and the Euro C64-version, up to two computer players help (or hinder) you.
