so it's thanksgiving which means shit's kinda cheap right now. I know a lot of people want to get into VR but either the price or the threat of buying a Meta product is a big barrier. HP is currently selling their headset for 299. It's, as far as i can tell, basically just a PCVR-only Oculus Quest 2 with better audio and displays. The tracking's not as good but it's still serviceable.

this isn't an advertisement i just want people to not make the same mistake i did with getting a Quest 2. Please just get anything else I can't fucking stand the quest and i regret it every time i put it on

i purchased an oculus quest and an oculus link in 2020 with pandemic unemployment money, i'm not in the market for one but this is looks like a good deal
