Elon Musk still completely fails to understand the situation he is in.

He thinks he can exploit programmers to make Twitter profitable.

Precisely NONE of Twitter's problems are tech problems with tech solutions. They are ALL social problems.

Musk could literally have a magic wand that he could wave to make a perfect bug-free feature appear instantly, and that still wouldn't fix the problems with Twitter as it stands. Problems that he created, I might add.

I should also say that Musk created tech problems as well by firing so many people.

The institutional knowledge that was lost may actually kill Twitter in the end. I guess we will see when the World Cup hits.

It's so much worse than most people realize, and then yesterday he doubled down and gave his workers an ultimatum to either commit to fucking awful working conditions, or GTFO.

I have compared Elon's treatment of Twitter like taking the engine out of a car because it 'just uses gasoline' and gasoline is expensive, plus the car is on a down slope so it's not like it needs the engine. It will keep going on its own!

Eventually you run out of hill to coast down. And once that happens, that engine is gonna look real useful suddenly.
