reading "the legendary musings of professor munakata", an archaeology themed mystery comic, the first few stories are about researching the material basis for old myths which then just happen to play themselves out in modern day at the same time in a "coincidence.. or something more?" lowkey kind of way. and then chapter 6 just states "giants are Real" and one climbs out from under an airport and suplexes a plane. good stuff.
