I’m going to start a solo playthrough of Stonehell using the Errant system.
I made four characters.
Gerod The Zealot Elf
Elaine the Violent Goblin
Fortessa the Deviant Tiefling + her dad
Veg the Occult Orc + his two buff cousins
I’m going to play through the Stonehell mega dungeon as I read it, and then I’m going to write up a journal entry made by one of the characters, as Veg is going to document and publish their explorations.
Veg
Stonehell. It was a prison, now an ancient ruin built into the ground. I am leaving my academy for the first time. I have found myself some companions. Garod, a religious elf who drinks without end and has a... smell to him. Elaine is a savvy goblin warrior. Fortessa, a tiefling that is smarter with her hands than with her mouth.

The jade horse in my pocket jumped to my mind, and I examined it for a while. I think I have been able to discern its abilities.
We have faced brutality and come out on top, but just barely.
We descended down a trap door after Fortessa identified an expensive cask of wine; we gave it to the cousins to carry around. Elaine burst open the door to the goblin hideout, attempting to intimidate them into giving us their ears. This "plan" did not work, of course, and a melee ensued. My golem did a wonderful job of holding a goblin, Gerod attempted to heal Elaine with a swig from his chalice, and Fortessa rained bolts upon them from the darkness.
The goblins shattered Elaine's plank shield and wrecked her arm in return, but she managed to slaughter two. Fortessa stealthily brought two down with her bolts, but not in time to protect Gerod from being knocked unconscious. I finished off the last with a blow from my staff.
We barricaded ourselves in the goblin camp and spent the night. I nursed Elaine and Gerod back from the brink, and we helped ourselves to a hearty meal that the goblins had left cooking for us. Venison, I think. We have one last room to clear tomorrow, then we will return to town.
April 2nd, 290 AE, Stonehome
It is sundown, and we have made it back to Stonehome. The last room of the gatehouse contained a secret door with some magic items in it. It must have been a mage's room.
Leaving the gatehouse, we were jumped by some brigands that demanded all of our pennies. It was a dire fight, until Gerod prayed. A blaze of purple energy came down from the heavens, entering the cask carried by the cousins. Exploding, it let forth a downpour of delicious wine that seemed to wash the pain away. It did not wash away the pain at losing the pennies of a centuries old cask of finely aged wine.
I have learned to channel the necrotic energy from the jade horse, and turned our attackers to a pile of rotten flesh. The remaining journey was quite peaceful.
Here is a record of our accounts after selling most of the artefacts we found in Stonehell.
