first post!

Finally got the e-mail saying my account's activated! Woohoo!

For those who don't know me, I'm icekitsune, also known as Samui. I'm a six-tailed glasune, a fennec kitsune/glaceon hybrid. I speedrun classic Genesis games such as Sonic, Dynamite Headdy, McDonald's Treasure Land Adventure, and Gunstar Heroes on Twitch. Though I am branching (back) out to casual gaming, clearing out my Steam backlog and stuff.

I'm also learning how to write. I already have a couple stories in the works, procrastinating on them for years (upwards of 20 years), constantly starting from scratch for reasons, etc. And I'm working with a friend on an EarthBound hack called .para//Bound. It takes place during Festivus, and parallels the original story in some ways. Though instead of an intergalactic menace threatening the world, it's the Internet leaking out into the real world. Progress is slow on these projects, but it is progressing.

Other than that, I'm just a chill glasune wanting to hang out in a place with good vibes! I'm asexual, non-binary (any pronoun is ok), plural, and otherkin.

Hi! My two main writing things are a Digimon fanfic I started over 20 years ago, just something silly. I remember only doing a few chapters back in the day and stopping, then redoing the whole thing twice during the 2010s to improve upon the stuff my 15-year-old self wrote. Haven't figured out the direction for it, but I do have a couple things in mind, and I'm using dreams as inspiration (assuming I remember them, and they contain something that could fit in).

My other project is loosely based on RP's I've done back in 2004-2005. Basically, a team of kitsune and their allies trying to stop a nogitsune from taking over their land. It's another thing I've kept crumpling up the proverbial paper and starting over due to developing new lore in RP's in 2011-2012 - and some other things.

There's a lot I have to learn (or re-learn) about the writing process. I'd been taking the "make it up as you go along" approach, with a bit of planning/outlining. I also need to learn...words. Sentence structures, being more descriptive, and all that.
