i've had a shitty 100 Mb/s DSL connection ever since i moved here that i pay €43,50 a month for. i recently checked my internet speed and it was more like 20 Mb/s though. that sucks!!
apparently fiber is only like €45 a month for 1 Gb/s internet. but also it's €15 off for the first 8 months. but also i get €5 off permanently because i have a phone subscription plan with the same provider. either this is too good to be true, or my current ISP is a total ripoff??
i don't really like how there's only a single fiber ISP in my area because they partnered with the business that installed the fiber optic network in our city, so i've heard that contractually they get exclusive rights to the network for the first year of its existence. maybe at some point there will be a cheaper option? i have no idea. i'm lucky to have a connection in my apartment already though, seems like a nightmare if that had to be installed too. either way, the subscription is still gonna be cheaper than what i have now so i can definitely afford it.
anyways cool time to download and upload stuff even faster. i'm so hyped 💯💯💸💸💸
