i'm mostly joking because there were SO MANY good OSTs this year (which i'll write about closer to the end of the year!!) but god DAMN

i wanted to make a post about this game so i might as well latch it onto this. for those unaware, Path of the Abyss is a first person dungeon crawling game with the unique "real time" combat (you may pause at any time) and a grid of 3x3 skills you swap around based on your party and equipment. the grid of skills also represent your party formation and how they are attacked by enemies. is released right now on Steam. it is in early access in the form that the main game is finished, and all further work will go into a postgame dungeon and proper English translation work. the current machine translation is unoffensive and serviceable. it has a striking art style, as you can hear an amazing soundtrack, and it's also currently 6 dollars. a link to the game will be posted below.
