To answer your tag, somehow, yes. The big 2.0 update was cancelled I think but the game is still playable. I feel like this might be an Office Space situation.

Thanks for filling me in! Yeah, that's pretty much what I figured, too. Only reason I wasn't 100% sure is because Japanese stores can be hilariously slow to take depreciated online games out of circulation (I saw stores selling Splatoon 2 for full price for months after 3's release, often right next to each other) and I'd heard nothing about Anthem in so long, I was beginning to wonder if they had just adopted a devil may care stance about it, ahaha.
