i might be stubborn as a mule in my dogged determination to stay in this industry for as long as my circumstances will allow and then some because that's how much i'm in it for the art of my job, but god does it get fucking tiring being reminded day in and day out that this industry will never have your back no matter how many years you put into it and no matter how much you contribute to the culture, whether as a developer, media, or whatever
shit sucks and half the reason i still bother to put in as much effort as i do is practically to spit in the bean counters' face so that whenever it's my ass that's on the line, it's on them and their mba-poisoned brains and not my work showing the people who actually care what these japanese games are truly made of. if i'm getting pushed out before my time, then i'm gonna make damn sure you look like a moron who doesn't know who keeps your engine oiled and when shit starts smoking, there's no doubt among anyone who's left what could've been done to prevent it
