That's a good question! I can't speak to how Sal runs the site now since he and I don't talk all that often, but when I was there, my job was more or less 100 percent just core translation work, yeah. There were minor optimizations we would do in terms of Wordpress blog tags and whatnot, but it was all just relevant to the topic at hand anyway. Just game titles, genres, developers, stuff like that. Nothing at all like the super transparent stuff we see today where every introduction is just trying to reframe every conceivable question a person could type into Google that will hopefully lead them to the page, ahaha.
