I get loving gossip and watching how interpersonal stuff develops between people but gotta say, as I get older it just becomes upsetting.
It's taking joy from peoples suffering, and sure sometimes it's like a real Shithead who keeps stepping on the metaphorical rake hitting themself in the face, but most of the time it's just...normal people, who may have their faults but ain't like they deserve their problems or them to be on display.
Idk, seeing more of an acquaintance's breakup and how it seemed like a one sided "yeah girl leave that shitty dude!" to seeing oh actually you both hurt and continue to hurt each other and I see how the situation got to this point and it's...saddening.
Friends, many tbh, like doing something similar by watching YouTube vids of people that are just...not great. Real video anthrax shit. Like they're shitty people usually, or flat out bizarre, but it all just feels upsetting. Both to watch in this way that feels morally shitty on myself, and in the sense of just the circumstances of the people are upsetting. Like idk, watching a guy who married a sex doll talk about taking the doll out on dates. Idk. I don't judge the friends for it, but its difficult stuff personally.
