i like the game a lot aside from the fact that it crashed several times per session and how the game had video cutscenes that did not play for me and i didn't realize this until literally today lol.
i think it's a pretty neat game with cool systems that i hope are expanded upon in the sequel. it's also just fun to find a good sword and tape copies of it together to make it stronger, and then break a buncha magic rocks on it to give it elemental damage. you can spend 5 attribute points per level to increase health, strength, dexterity, or magic. or! you can find herbs and monster parts that let you get permanent stat increases for basically nothing. magic system likewise make the buff spells and shield spells stronger by gathering duplicates. at the end of the game you can have a reflective barrier that deals back 70% of an enemies damage back to them, which, yeah you just win at that point. also did i mention the cutscenes did not play for me. sometimes a thing just happens and you are somewhere else the next instant and there's a huge pentagram in the sky. which speaking of, the decision to only have to go to any one of 5 towers to kill a guy, pretty cool. i feel like lesser games would make you go to all 5 towers at the edges of the map and like for what, they're the same and it's a waste of time. there was one weird bit where like, you need the key to a dungeon to get the water stone which is doubling as defending the city. doing this leaves the city defenseless to the surrounding orcs so every single person in town dies. a fun thing happened when i resurrected some of the guards and they tried to arrest me for stealing. talk about ungrateful...
anyways i hope the sequel runs better, crashes less, has cutscenes that play properly, expands on the systems i enjoyed, gets rid of the quest lines that don't quite work, etc.,
