it's good enough i think. after playing it i think it does in fact warrant an updated release bc even 2014's anniversary edition is, a bit rough. if they can have the game look a bit nicer, run a bit cleaner, and have combat that doesn't make me wanna just give up and spam the flame eruption aoe spell til they're all dead - then it would be pretty neat.
i wanna revisit fable 2 (and maybe eventually 3) but those are unfortunately locked to the xbox so maybe in another decade or two those will be playable on pc. bc i did like those ones!
