little less than a week left in wife visit and i did in fact cry today about it (a teeny bit)
sad the trip has to end but there are a few nice things about going home.
- the diy project to build a iidx style controller is going to be on even longer hold. instead i will be! trying to fix / replace the left bumper on my xbox controller. which i damaged while mashing backdash cancel in bloodstained lol. vania life style is tough...
- sound voltex! exceed gear! we decided to skip an arcade visit this time because. it would suck for us lol. so im looking forward to getting back on my set up after a weeks long break. also looking forward to more easily participating in the "weekly song pick" (i've been playing on fanmade replica charts on a laptop keyboard on a clone - three layers of "not the way i like to play" lol)
- oh speaking of diy i can finally put my new springs in my buttons. with this i'll be done upgrading my faucetwo until i have loads of extra money to swap for sanwa buttons, or maybe get custom art for it.

- man idk i kinda want 2 make an arcade style joystick. for playing arcade games like mario bros. i played on the funny multigame cabs at the local fgc meetup (i only played mario) and it does feel pretty nice to control the little man with the lever and jump button. i have a new appreciation for arcade sticks after learning that they simply use four of the clicky microswitch guys that i love so much lol. i think it's cool.
but it continues to be a really lovely trip, very comfy and weather's been nice all throughout. bsides the one day that rained whilst we were out on a little day trip. but it's been really nice. seeing new places and revisiting our favorite spots. and just being able to relax.
