I ordered the HG Beguir Beu on lovely little site iLoveGunpla, another UK-based small independent gunpla store to add to the list of window shopping spots, early in December last year and due to be delivered on January 23rd this year. It arrived today, a full week early, and my wonderful girlfriend @ilu-beato is also here, so we decided to build it together.
We divided labor between snipping and sanding (me) and panel lining (Bea) with both of us taking a share of the actual snapping together of parts - this worked great for us, since Bea's much better at panel lining than me, but I'm more confident with the snippers.
We completed it over the course of this afternoon, with a short break for dinner, and I have to say that I'm impressed. It's my first Witch from Mercury kit, an almost totally straightforward construction with some nice translucent bits in front of shiny chrome stickers (I am a mark for this shit!!! I go crazy for the RG Exia green orbs too!!!), gorgeous shoulders, a surprising degree of articulation and cool orbs.
I only have three complaints: one is with the inner wings; the inner part of their little folding-out gimmick isn't a separate piece, but part of the outer wing's mold with a sticker wrapped around it. The sticker is big and annoying, and it's very hard to get it on precisely. The other complaints are with the extra parts; there's two little floating orb bits but the kit only includes one stand for them, and there are no hand options. Even just a single dynamic posed hand for one of the arms would have been awesome.
Besides those issues I'm super happy with this kit. I'd definitely recommend it if you're into the bug-bunny-knight look or the cool white-and-lilac color scheme, and I'd even more strongly recommend building a kit alongside another gunpla-enjoying loved one or friend.
i cried alittle a bout this it was great (:
