In an effort to diversify my online presence (god I hate the way I've phrased this lmao), I've gone in two completely different directions.

First, I got my own Mastodon instance/server/whatever setup. It was pretty cheap to setup for now ($6/mo, $1 for the first yr of a .online domain), and I've extended a hand to some of my close friends if they wanna get an account on my setup. I was on an art-focused Mastodon awhile ago, but I just didn't vibe with posting there as much and I didn't feel the need to make sure I've Got Accounts in different areas. Now I feel the twinge to make sure I've got my stuff all over the place, and also it's nice to finally have a website again. I feel like I haven't quite got a good idea on how the whole "fediverse" works, or if it really works at all, but it's kinda neat how curated the experience can be. Second, I've had a SpaceHey for about 4 months now and I actually really enjoy it? SpaceHey is a MySpace throwback site, and while it's missing huge features I remember from when I was on MySpace (ex. posting pics) it has incredibly important features I remember from when I was on MySpace (making your profile look wild). It's think it's not quite there in terms of features, and I don't have near enough people friended on there to make use of the whole thing, but I'm happy to engage with it when I feel like it.
