Anno. 20s. top-tier incest poster and #1 inbreeding fan. expect 18+ content. creepy comments and asks are highly encouraged.

I've recently received some helpful suggestions from cohost staff, and I feel the need to clarify some things regarding this blog.

  • This is a fantasy kink account I run for fun
  • All content is intended as hypothetical fantasy and not to be taken literally, and all asks are interpreted through that same lens
  • Any "advice" given is purely for entertainment
  • I do not condone abuse or harm of any kind

now let's get out there and have a good time, kinksters

Hey there, just an interested party to cohost staff's moderation habits, and I'm wondering what exactly, if anything, did they approach you with?

I find it troubling that a moderator could approach you in what basically amounts to bad faith around your kinks, and was hopeful you could expand on what specifically was asked of you, if you're comfortable with that.

I don't want to be too hard on cohost staff here. They sent me an email telling me I may be in violation of the community guidelines, explaining how, and suggesting how I could edit my page to resolve the issue. I made a few edits and replied to the email to cordially explain the context, and they thanked me and told me I was all clear. In terms of experiences with social media moderation, it was definitely one of the better ones I've had. I was clearly dealing with a real person who wasn't trying to kill my blog or force me off the site or anything.

I like cohost quite a bit, and I've enjoyed my short time with it so far. If I were designing my perfect social media site, I would probably be more lax with the moderation and make sure there's extra room for fun harmless stuff like this, but the way they run things isn't a dealbreaker. It's better than most sites, for sure. If I had one real complaint, it's that they took down one of my posts that I feel was pretty positive and inoccuous... maybe I should ask that to be reinstated, if that's a thing.

Thank you for sharing. I only mention because content policy on cohost has been slowly inching toward less pro-kink site policy over the last year. Some people got it in a really bad way when they went from allowing cub to expressly banning it in the span of just 7 hours, back in June.

I enjoy your work and it would be very distressing if something pushed ASSC to be even harder on kink on their fledgling platform, in a time where so many other queer and online spaces have lacked in integrity when it comes down to being pro-kink.

Oh and I should mention, if you have it in you, you should absolutely appeal moderation action against you. Cohost is staffed by like 4 people and is prone to error. I want to give them the benefit of the doubt on this one, but if you're publishing things be it fiction or lived experiences, it makes zero sense for that to be pruned on a social blogging site.
