hey anyone here have unreal tournament 2004 on gog or steam or disc or w/e

i have the server set up on my vps for when i play with my friends, and i got map voting plugin and http redirecting for map downloads so they are fast instead of slow, and me and my friends don't play that often, and i saw a post about a semipublic minecraft server, and it got me thinking

what if weekly cohost unrealed tournofment night

casual play, fill out w/ bots if only a few people, we can do that convoy assault map that they made a tf2 map out of later, or just deathmatch, or onslaught, idk.

would anyone be up for that

oh god no no competitive structure just everyone shooting each other and then we do a map/mode vote when the match is over

when i play with my friends we just do us vs a bot team CTF usually

on windows i think the final patch runs adequately out of the box, aside from vsync not working because pre-9 directx, but there are workarounds for that.

there's a widescreen patch for weapon/camera fov but i played for years without using it, and when i eventually did i actually turned the fov back a bit because it felt kinda fisheye.

Geez, I still have my old disks for every PC UT. Classic is still the champion in my heart, but 2004 does have my favorite game mode in an FPS ever: Bombing Run.

I'd be in for this. Have do do some hoop-hopping to get it installed on my current rig, but I'd do it for some arranged UT action with a semi-casual crowd.

If this gets off the ground, by all means, keep me in the loop. DM me or whatever. Message me on Twitch if you have to.
