I didn't follow it super closely at the time but it struck me as a really strange and interesting project. While I didn't pick up on it at the time, the whole thing being a commentary/parody on authenticity on youtube makes a lot of sense. It's easy to forget that the people making youtube videos are still playing a character to one degree or another, leading to a very strange juxtaposition when one decides to tell a high-concept sci-fi story through the medium of his regular youtube content.
i had no idea he did this. i kinda stopped following Andrew after he stopped doing Songs to Wear Pants To and pivoted into making videos about digital music that were neat but were ultimately Not My Bag, and i had no clue he would make some sort of space ARG-esque/webseries thing. sounds dope. i should watch it sometime
