in reply to @inbtwn's post:

i can imagine! it would be nice if there was a curated list somewhere.

also it's annoying to have half your landmarks go to completely unrelated places now since it's been so long since i last signed in, lol

i honestly should publish some kind of list somewhere but with how temporary it all is, it would get dated quick... the trials of only being able to rent land... changes ownership often

here are some good ones i've lost a good chunk of time exploring in tho:

Second Life Endowment for The Arts [ http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/SLEA%20Bridge1/224/122/64 ] my fav, and by far the most temporally-stable! a lindenlabs-sanctioned art exhibit full of some of the most y2k artistic marvels i've seen, pushing the engine to its limits. it's Very expansive in size, so be prepared to explore!

Explorer Island (aka Jet Propulsion Lab of CA's sim) [ http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Explorer%20Island/183/164/23 ] if you love space, you'll love this. well documented sim that's more on the side of educational than artistic, but still very well constructed. spans two regions' worth, with lots of verticality to it! tricky to explore alone, as the access to The Upstairs is hidden behind an obscure/hard-to-find rocket ship ride that transports you up to low earth orbit, but there's still lots of content on ground level!

i don't know what the character count of chomments (cohost comments) are so honestly just lemme know if you want a tour guide! i'd be glad to show off some other places

thanks for the picks! 0: if you have any more, you could dump the rest into a pastebin or PrivateBin or something. and yeah if you're up to it i could add you to my friends so we can tour later (not sure if im up to it rn but we could do it this weekend maybe)?
