hi there. i'm inbtwn. nice to meet ya!

i sometimes post about Things, mostly niche internet things like youtube videos, webcomics, etc. but i also reblog (rebug) a LOT of cool things so uhhh be warned

ticky
@ticky

recently learned about the isostick, which seemingly does what it says on the tin; it mounts ISO files from an SD card over USB mass storage

sounds about 60% suitable for my purposes, anyone know of a reasonably available alternative that can handle multi-track or hybrid disc images? preferably with on-device image choosing rather than relying on the USB host

EDIT: to clarify, I have heard of Ventoy, but it's specific to boot images, I am after something more general-purpose and broadly compatible

@inbtwn

alternatively there's ventoy, which seems to be a version of this that you can use on any usb drive you like (although not sure if it supports the images you mentioned).

also it's mostly meant for booting install ISOs but i'm not sure if that's what yuo want...

in reply to @ticky's post:

yeah, decent enough for some boot media, though the hit rate seems a bit off from what I've seen, I am after something more general-purpose than just for boot media, though, and no luck with old Macs

That's fair, I've been away from the project for a long time (burnout, life things, etc).

They're currently out of stock but I'm starting up production again, assembling panels by hand at home. I've got the parts, panels, etc, just have to set aside some time. If you'd like, I'll reply here again when I have some in stock :3
