I made that custom retroarch background so I didn't have to stare at a mostly black screen on my vita. It was fun to draw this background and a huge pain in the ass to figure out how to implement it into retroarch! I followed the dimensions of the built in Castlevania 4 overlay in making that so its probably definitely not as accurate as it should be.
i finished dragon quest 3 snes, game's real good! That was a fun final act of the game/final boss
i think my main complaint from this whole thing is how magic is resisted where if the enemy resists a spell its entirely negated so that caster just loses mp and a turn. Feels real bad and the wording on the in fight is vague enough that you dont really know if it just missed or if the enemy negated it so experimentation felt annoying too.
Had a lot of fun overall though, its as pretty as i hoped and I still really want to play the remake just to see what they'd change to it.
