It's labeled as a novel but the first volume of "The Case Files of Jeweler Richard" is really just a collection of short stories. I enjoyed the anime; unsurprisingly, I also enjoyed the source material. Chill vibes to learn mineral facts to, with a light drop of low stakes episodic mystery.

The anime IF FINLAND IS ALLOWED IT is a good sampler I think. The mystery element is super light - basically, person wants to buy or sell a piece of jewelry or a gemstone, what's their deal, how does it relate thematically to superstition or science behind that particular stone, is our narrator going to figure out how to ask the girl he likes on a date or figure out anything about his mysterious and beautiful boss. Gentle stuff.
