I’ve been reading a lot of queernorm sff lately and I’m in the mood to balance that out— anybody read any good non-queernorm sff books with bisexuals in lately?
Mixed/unevenly queernorm societies like in Ruin of Kings or A Strange and Stubborn Endurance totally count!
I'm definitely late to this, but I think Machineries of Empire counts here? At minimum, the Hexarchate is an oppressive society, and the lead characters are definitely queer. Just not sure (yet) whether that's the norm or not, and romance is fairly in the background.
The Baru Cormorant series also follows queer characters living in a world that is definitely not queernorm lol
