We are currently watching Pluto in the trauma slot of Anime Girls' Night. Only two episodes in and it has more than earned its position.

A gorgeous adaptation, very prepared to have my heart crushed again and again. I am making use of an emotional support stuffed dragon. I'm almost 40 and this is fine.

We've fully switched to the new lineup for Anime Girls' Night, which is Monster, Ooku: The Inner Chambers, and Harley Quinn.

We've decided to take a break from Legends of Tomorrow on Anime Girls' Night, so we are now watching:

• Golden Kamuy
• Vinland Saga
• Harley Quinn

Which means we have gone from having a theme of 'historical-related adventure' to 'ultra violence where ears are bitten off'.

Tonight I would like to commend:

• Golden Kamuy for always finding a new delightfully terrible way to do a violence on someone.
• Ono Kensho and Uemura Yuto for really pulling off major character changes with their voice work, especially Ono nailing the villain delivery and Uemura calling back to angrier Thorfinn briefly to throw his growth into sharp relief.
• Harley Quinn for just blowing up so many dudes.
