I still wish "Thousand Autumns" was being translated with the care and consideration that might be given a serious novel because I see you references to actual Chinese history and historical figures but I do not have the knowledge to understand any of it. Like, not even a "played a lot of Dynasty Warriors" level of knowledge, beyond "Do not pursue Lu Bu".
This doesn't mean I'm not enjoying "Thousand Autumns" because I'm well familiar with reading material that was not written For Me.
