I've been making bean-burgs and scratch-made buns for a few years now; the ingredients are very inexpensive and mostly shelf-stable, and the results are tasty and satisfying. I usually pan-fry the bean patties as I would a meat-based patty. This evening I decided to instead experiment with constructing the burgs as filled buns. There's room for improvement, but I think they came out pretty nicely for a first pass!
