i have pet chickens, i make drawings, and i write software of questionable usefulness. that's pretty much the extent of my personality. ask me about array programming, decker, or anything, really.

Anonymous Guest asked:

does decker have like, a snappy contraption? like a drag and drop grid?

No, but something along those lines could be built easily enough, I think. Any canvas widget can be made "draggable", and you could use a script on its release[] event handler to snap it into some kind of grid alignment:

on release do
 me.pos:48*floor(me.pos+24)/48
end

grid alignment example

There's more information and examples for working with draggable canvases in All About Draggable.

On the off-chance you're purely interested in positioning items while authoring decks, be aware that you can turn on snap-to-grid with View -> Snap To Grid and configure the dimensions of grid increments with View -> Grid and Scale... in the menus.
