i have pet chickens, i make drawings, and i write software of questionable usefulness. that's pretty much the extent of my personality. ask me about array programming, decker, or anything, really.

Anonymous Guest asked:

have you considered writing lil/decker labs, like KEI wrote and bundled with j?

I think the closest thing I currently have is Learn Lil in 10 Minutes, which is a fast-paced guide for Lil specifically.

I've written a number of pieces of interactive documentation for Decker like All About Draggable and the interactive manuals for modules like Puppeteer. These seem to be a reasonably effective way of teaching and demonstrating Decker features.

If there are any topics that anyone wants to see more coverage for, please ask. If you have thoughts about your favorite documentation form-factors, I'd like to hear from you.

I could also really use help writing more tutorials and guides! More approaches and voices mean more chances to connect with a student in a way that fits their brain! I'm the solo designer, developer, docs author, community manager, and tech support staff for Decker, which can leave me stretched pretty thin sometimes.

For what it's worth, I'm planning on rewriting + expanding The Riddle's backstage cards as a standalone deck sometime. 🫡

It'll be a while because I've got some other things cooking.... but Phinxel really loves to explain things, and it seems good to have beginner-friendly things written by a variety of authors.
