that answer you posted earlier, the one talking about social anxiety? it has given me much to think about regarding my path forward, even if my particular case moreso involves the likes of Discord Groups than it does VRChat.

we haven't really had a good opportunity, nor the drive to truly figure this social stuff out until recently. it has not been the sorta thing to come naturally to us, thanks in part to our autism.
so, regarding that "find a buddy" part. how exactly should i go about this? not just for VR, but like, in general?? sorry if this is confusing to you, it is very much the same for us.

also, in case we do consider VR, you got any gear recommendations? (entry level, preferably) tips and tricks? that sorta thing?

This is a good question, to be clear, I’m just not sure I’m the right person to answer it. I’m putting this question out there and hoping someone can provide a better answer than I’d be able to.

I also haven’t been keeping up with my own research on headsets. Get something that can hook into a PC, because Android VR is a much more limited experience. To that end, you’ll need a PC that’s beefy enough to run VR, though that’s a little easier to spec toward than it was four years ago. If you’re on the fence about it, I would say to make sure you’re doing it for more than just VRChat — look into other VR games that might interest you, or other games that might otherwise take advantage of a mid-to-high-end gaming PC.
