yyyyyyyyeahhhh i've run into that so many times lmao i should maybe use fewer footnotes
( i think it might be that stuff before and after a read more gets processed as separate chunks? there's some weird stuff about how stuff gets stored that seems to impact mixed html + markdown too but i haven't done enough posting crimes to figure out what the rules are or try and look it up
but if the footnote and the reference to the footnote are both either above or below it works so it's like the read more is a page break 🤔 )
the part above the read more and the part below it are stored as separate documents markdown-wise
a neat side effect of this is that you can use the read more with nothing after it as a button to reset one-time use css crimes
