i hate the advertising industry can we PLEASE talk about how theres an entire factor of capitalism designed specifically to emotionally manipulate you in the most efficient way possible into purchasing product. im not talking about "hi buy my thing" im talking about advertising. videos of soft drinks showing conventionally beautiful people living rich and wealthy lifestyles full of fun and connection but the video isnt selling you that lifestyle the video is saying you can be LIKE them by purchase drink. do you understand. can anyone hear me
like we literally have an industry that rewards and encourages propaganda and emotional manipulation and then people scoff when we say we live in a culture that enables, encourages, and rewards abuse
