the word "semen" happens to fit the phonetic constraints of a bunch of languages, including japanese and toki pona, which both only allow "n" as a syllable-final consonant, and mandarin, which only allows "n" and "ng"

What's with the aspirated/unaspirated consonants? They're very clearly just unvoiced/voiced consonants. Like (using pinyin here) p, t, k, q, c, ch aren't "aspirated" versions of b, d, g, j, z, zh, they're literally just voiced. Literally no one is pronouncing 爸 as /pa/ in standard Mandarin.
And why is h supposedly the /x/ consonant? It's literally just /h/ like 黃 is literally just "huang" and not pronounced with any sort of velar or uvular fricative. That's just wrong. Who came up with these omg
