korsica hifirush, dear, i love you but why did you have to sound ~Like That~
Just a great wee videogame-ass videogame that knows what it's doing and doesn't outstay its welcome.
Definitely pops -so- much harder when it's pulling from licensed music (and doing really creative mixing to fit in within the rhythm of fight phases and in-between segments) - wish there was a -tad- more of that, the in-house tracks don't really hit in the same way, but some inspired music picks carry the ending so hard.
And while I was worried it was going to be a flat, sat-AM cartoon-ass story (and it IS extremely that), it's got a whole lot more charm than I was expecting. The pacing's really solid, it's having a whole lot of fun with its concept, and besides a few outrageously outdated meme bits the writing even got a few laughs outta me. Some of the accents are still extremely weird and bad but you stop noticing after long enough.
Lovely wee thing, will probably go back and grab some of the secrets I missed. Well worth a punt.
