So we (and several other Seattle bookstores including, of course, Left Bank Books) have a standing partnership with Books to Prisoners Seattle where folks can buy books for donation to B2PS who then send them to incarcerated people. It's one of those okay the entire fucking thing sucks and it'd be nice if we can make it not suck entirely thing but in the meantime maybe we can make it suck slightly less thing.
Anyway because of independent bookstore day if you come to any of our shops and buy a book for Books to Prisoners a mysterious generous donor will match that donation! This is happening for the next two weeks! It's like Doubling Season over here.
As a side note comics and one of the most requested book types from prisoners so folks are always happy to get them donated!
