Another last minute shitpost for the road. I made this back in May and then got distracted by other shitposts and projects, so this hasn't been released yet (or really talked about outside of a few Sims discords).

I made Cow Tools for TS4 in my ongoing High Effort Shitposting hobby. They were interesting shapes to model and texture, and the above screenshot was fun to compose, aside from the cow sim walking away or trying to pick up the cow tools constantly).

I need to turn down the intensity of the normals (and possibly flip a channel..) but I'm really pleased with how it looks. I've got a lot of this sort of thing planned / in progress so please follow my sims tumblr or my blog if you'd like to see more.

For the past few weeks, I've been poking on and off at a render of my living room, partially as practice, partially to plan what to do with the nook beside the fireplace. It was an awkward amount of space to work with - 28 inches with the baseboards, 30 without, and most decent quality shelves started at 31 inches wide. DIY'ing something would have been too much work (and we don't have appropriate tools to do things like cutting shelves) and most of the smaller shelves would have left an awkward amount of space unused.

I modeled a whole lot of options and finally settled on this display cabinet from Ikea that was just over 28 inches wide but still ended up working. Glass is hard to work with, turns out. Building this thing took way longer than modeling it did. Finally have a place to display Lego models and my animu collection.

I modeled everything in this scene except the remote on the couch, also made the majority of the materials. I'll probably go back to working on sims cc soon.
