is a good spooky movie you could watch this october. it takes place in a radio station and is buoyed along by stellar performances and audio engineering. it plays around with the media that are on display a bit, not fourth-wall-breakingly so, but it's effective and fun. it wears its low budget incredibly well and is and very charismatic pretty much the entire time. 's a good tale on top of all of that. i love it

Love this movie, and also love that since the story is all about sound and language, they managed to make it still a delight to just listen to, with Stephen McHattie's amazing voice carrying the whole story. It totally works as an almost sorta audio radio drama.

there actually is a radio play version of pontypool! it's close enough to the original movie's script to be great but different enough to still be interesting if you don't want to Rewatch Pontypool per se
