
oh this is actually a great example of how to use it right IMO because if you want the shot to look unsettling it rules. most of these are kinda like...you're seeing what's in the foreground at the same emotional scale/level of looming importance the person in the background is seeing it at.
i'm saying!! i even like the instances where it's """bad""" to use it though so clearly i just like split diopter shots
I wasn't super familiar with them before the split diopter post even though I watched a shitton of the stuff that has this as a kid and it got me thinking like "huh I wonder what use these would actually have" and then this post made me go "OH THAT'S WHAT THEY'RE FOR" and now I'm just interested in them so thank u for sharing your pro-split diopter perspective
