been learning japanese lately. finally got enough grammar to feel not completely adrift while listening to spoken and working on having enough kanji that reading it is similar. finally got a good selection of learning resources and now all i need to do is lean on it. one of the interesting things was seeing how exactly my learning style has changed as i get older. it's making me think about learning styles, the idea of neuroplasticity (seems kind of fake and/or misunderstood at this point tbh), and individual learning needs
also it's fun studying kanji bc you're drawing cool shapes all the time
this is 物 もの mono, i.e. thing (concrete), next to the kanji for drink 飲. put 'em together and you get drinks i guess. i also guess you'd read this at the top of a menu or something. above that is the kanji for nose, picture, and a year-passing counter kanji respectively
