Some more media preservation for y'all! I discovered this album in a local thrift store and found absolutely zilch on the band while searching for the band or its individual members. Almost Blue released this album in 1994, well before internet access became ubiquitous, so it's likely that they produced an album here and there, never made it big, and split up. They lived in New York.

The music is definitely inspired by grunge rock of the 90s with a quasi-religious twist. It's not strictly preachy, I don't think, but there's definitely lots of references to faith and god in the lyrics. This particular album is... not really my thing, and honestly I was kind of wrinkling my nose while listening to it in the car, but my personal taste in tunes doesn't matter. There weren't any recordings or uploads of this album available, so in the interest of media preservation, I ripped it and stuck it online for your perusal. You can listen to Eight Dead Hoppers on the Internet Archive here.

On the off chance that you've got info about this band, I'd certainly love to hear it!
